Kevin McNeely

Kevin McNeely

As a certified energy modeller Kevin will be key to helping AGI identify and demonstrate the most impact and cost effective energy savings solutions and use modeling to show impact. This will enable AGI to meet a goal of sharing with Detroit homeowners the cost and energy efficiencies that can be achieved through retrofitting.

Energy modelers are kind of like unicorns, not many exist in Michigan and there is a major shortage. Kevin’s long term impact project goal is to share his knowledge and love for his work with other Detroiters in the hope of creating viable job opportunities in a design build sector of the future.

Kevin brings to the project a wealth of experience in green building techniques, and best practices, drawing from nearly 20 years of experience in green building and energy efficient home construction. He founded the McNeely Building Group with the belief that everyone deserves a comfortable, efficient and healthy home to live in.

As the past Chair of the Board of Directors for the US Green Building Council – Detroit Region, and Chair of the LEED for Homes Committee, Kevin has worked with multiple regional organizations to advance the knowledge of efficient, sustainable and healthy buildings.
